I used this 8" tile for a test as I wanted to check what violet of iron monochrome with added washes would look like. I like it!I added the lustre and grapes on the sides as I wanted the main design to sit on an oblong shape and not a square, and this was one way to frame up the sides of the tile.
One of the next things I want to paint is a matching pair of ginger jars with a similar design on them. (hence the trial run!)
