This is the Hollyhock plate I painted in class with Andrew Orr in Blenheim, South Island, New Zealand.Once again Andrew proved to be an interesting, creative and inspiring teacher and all those who attended the class went away with some good practical knowledge that can be applied to our painting in the future.
The exhibition was wonderful (of course!) and two of our club girls won merit awards for their work which was exhibited in special sections.
One of these was Ming Lien - who was one of my students many years ago and now teaches porcelain art in Taiwan.
