Close Up!

Close up of what I posted below.

Hopefully this will show a little of the work.    Each of the dishes were different . . . . similar, but different!

Exhibition Pieces for Sydney APAT 2013

For some reason, my pictures have turned out tiny and they don't appear to be able to be enlarged so you can see all the work on these three dishes.    I am sorry ..... and I am not sure how to f ix the problem!
The largest of the dishes (12") sold, and the middle dish (10") I have promised to a friend.   That leaves me with the smallest of the dishes from the set but I am sure I can find a good home for it.    Would you like it?

The exhibition was marvellous;  so much inovated and beautiful work.    Was a feast for the eyes!
I attended a school which was held in Bowral which was a 2 hour bus trip from the centre of Sydney, and this proved to be a very worthwhile time.    My class tutor was Filipe and sometime during the next few days I shall post what he painted for me, and what I painted unaided in his class.

Busy Time . . . . .

No new posting for a few weeks, so please come back later.

Last Monday I arrived home (in Tauranga, New Zealand)  from being part of a Mission Team in the Pacific Island of Fiji, and this Tuesday I am flying out to Sydney to attend the APAT Exhibition and school to follow.   It will be near the end of October before I can post pictures of my exhibition pieces, plus the piece I painted in the school.    Exhibition pieces cannot be shown anywhere before the official opening . . . . although my work has been finished for a few months now, it wouldnt be correct to post them on my blog yet.
No serious painting has been done for a month now.  :-(     I miss it :-)

So watch  this space!

Roses and Bubbles!

It annoys me at times that the postings on my blog seem "back to front"   . . . . . I wanted to add this new photo of what I did to the Roses and Bubbles plate,  but of course the original photo is underneath.    Never mind, I am sure you can work it out.
After thinking a lot about the design (and a suggestion from a beautifully talented porcelain artist) I decided to add another lot of scrolls and bubbles at about 10 o'clock on the plate.
I think it DOES improve the design . . . . do you think so?
This picture was taken at night, so the pink has changed colour with the light.   The truer colour is shown in the roses on the previous post.

Roses and (would you call them bubbles?) !

I had this idea in my mind, and it went perfectly according to how I wanted the dish to look.
Nice roses, and airy fancy band through the middle of the design.
