Lustre and Roses

This 4" dish was painted earlier in the week, using 3 different lusres and china paints for the roses and leaves.   The three lustres were Ivory, Blue Green Iris, and mother of pearl.   There is a little bit of enamel here and there to embellish also.   (I was going to give the dish to a friend this weekend, but decided to keep it a week or two to enjoy it myself before I give the gift!)   

Doodle Art!

Our club all did a project together, using pen and ink (violet of iron) to doodle our way around this lovely heart shape.   Of course even though each member had traced the basic outline on their plate, everyone had a very different end product.    That's one of the nice things painting along with other people - it allows to see how many variations of creativity there are in a room.
