Copper Pot

Last week I was in the mood to paint small things!  This pot is only 3" high and if you click on the picture it will be enlarged enabling you to see the swirls of colours easier.
There are enamel dots under the gold, and the body of the two parts of the pot were painted with copper and fired, then covered with weeping opal and fired.   Amazing chemical reactions take place in the kiln to give this effect.   It is particularly nice when the sun shines on it!
